OUR CAMP IS MAY 19-20TH.
YES, we've moved the dates up a week and we're in full force planning mode. BIG NEWS FOR 2012 CAMP--the fitting, grooming and showmanship will be a Stock Show U Event. We will still cover the leadership competitions like Cattlemen's Quiz, Skillathon, Livestock Judging, and Public Speaking, Will start at 9 a.m. on the 19th and finish about 2 p.m. on 20th. Best Western in Giddings has rooms for this event, mention Smith Genetics, 979/542-5000. The Stock Show U part will be very hands on and parents you can be part of this too!

| Fort Worth--Fort Worth Results. Grand Champion Junior Simbrah Heifer, Wentz Smith Superior, exhibited by Candice Tindle from the calf division. Reserve Heifer Calf honors went to Bailye Folytn with a Smith heifer. Bailye was also the Reserve Showman. Smith Priceless Passion was Reserve Junior Champion for Mary Kate Walters. Corey Todd exhibited his Smith bred heifer to Reserve Senior Champion honors in the Simmental Show. Corey was also Champion Showman.Plus we had a number of customers stand first or at the top of their classes. Congrats to all our customers and thank you for showing Smith bred heifers! |

San Antonio-Smith Genetics bred both champion females in the National Purebred Show, and two reserve championships, plus two reserve championships in the National Percentage for our customers. In addition, Smith Genetics won the Get-of-Sire honor with Smith Nu Wave II progeny and Produce of Dam with Hagan Smith Irreplaecable progeny and the Best Three Head honor, also. Overall Smith Genetics individuals captured four first place and nine second place wins on the day! T In the junior show--we had all three of the reserve champions-Candice Tindle in the calf slot with Wentz Smith Superior Mom, a Smith Nu Wave II daughter; Mary Kate Walters with the reserve junior, out of Smith RFI Infinity and Smith Priceless Passion and Katrina Fontenot with her Smith RFI Golden Weapon daughter. Houston-Smith Genetics bred both the champion females as Caleb Rodenbeck's heifer, Smith CRC Nu Perfection was crowned the International Champion and Peyton Meuth's heifer, Smith WITZ Jubee Delight was named the Reserve Grand Champion. Both heifers are sired by Smith Nu Wave II. Peyton's heifer is out of Smith Red Jubilee, who was the 2011 International Reserve Grand Champion fro Cody Witzkoski. Both of these females, came out of the calf division. Also in the lineup was Smith Temperance, a Smith RFI Golden Weapon daughter who was the International Senior Champion. Smith Priceless Wish, out of Priceless and sired by Nu Approach was named Reserve Junior Champion Female for Brooke Springer, Simms, Texas We also won the Produce of Dam honor with progeny from Hagan Smith Irreplaceable. At the HSLR Junior Show, Smith bred heifers also captured the Grand and Reserve Grand honors. Candice Tindle exhibited Wentz Smith Superior Mom to Grand Champion honors. She of course is a Smith Nu Wave II daughter out of Triple P Juliet. And Mary Kate and Little Goose (Smith Priceless Passion) continued their winning ways with the Reserve Grand title. She is out of Priceless and sired by Infinity. In the Simbrah Show, we had four class winners and three heifers to stand second, plus Grayson Higgins daughter of Smith Wave 209T and out of Smith Hagan Real Fine was named Reserve Junior Champion. In the Simmental Show, Corey Todd, exhibited Smith Too Cute N Black, a Dream On daughter to class win and the Reserve Senior title, while Jessica Seaman with her Matt sired heifer, Smith Dana N Black, stood second. |

| Austin-Caleb Rodenbeck's heifer, Smith CRC Nu Perfection was selected as the Simbrah Calf Champion, Grand Champion Simbrah and the Reserve Overall American Heifer. Congrats to Caleb and family for campaigning this Smith Nu Wave II daughter to three big wins this year. Also at Austin, Katrina Fontenot went out as senior in a big way. She claimed the reserve junior honor with Smith Silver Queen, a Smith Wave 209T daughter, and Smith Temperance a Smith RFI Golden Weapon daughter was the senior champion for Katrina! |
